Bill's Pizza & Pub celebrates 50th anniversary

Bill's Pizza and Pub in Mundelein, Illinois, is hosting a 50th anniversary celebration this week. Bill's will pay tribute to the 1950's and thank the community for its continued patronage. Yesterday, Bill's Pizza & Pub hosted a Kid's Day featuring pony rides, face painting, carnival games, a police car and fire truck for the kids to tour and opportunities for kids to learn about police and fire safety issues. Tomorrow, Bill's Pizza will turn back the clock on its menu and offer 1957 prices ($3 each) on cheese and sausage thin crust pizzas from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. These old fashioned-priced pizzas are only available for carryout, with a two-pizza limit. All other pizzas will be at full price. On Wednesday, July 25, Bill's Pub will throw a party straight out of 1957. Elvis will make an appearance and sing some songs and hand out prizes. Also, drafts of Miller beer will be offered for 50 cents. Each patron should dress like he or she is from the 1950's and wear poodle skirts or retro shirts. The party starts at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 11:00 p.m. Bill's Pizza & Pub has been a family-owned business throughout its 50 years.
